Private self-check · about 3 minutes
Sleep Habits Self-Check
Looks at the everyday habits and conditions around your sleep (routine, caffeine, screens, noise, load-shedding, worry in bed) so you know what to change first. It does not measure insomnia severity; the app's Insomnia Severity Index in the screening battery does that.
Think about the last two weeks. Answer for a normal week, not your best or worst night. Private. Your employer never sees your answers. This is a self-check, not a diagnosis, and you can stop anytime.
Private: your answers stay on this device and are not saved. You can stop at any time.
I go to bed and get up at very different times from day to day (including weekends).
I have tea, coffee, energy drinks or cola after about 2pm.
I use my phone, TV or laptop in bed in the hour before sleep.
I drink alcohol or use something to help me fall asleep.
I nap for longer than 30 minutes during the day, or late in the afternoon.
I lie in bed awake, worrying or going over problems.
Noise, light, heat, cold or a shared sleeping space keeps me from sleeping well.
Load-shedding, shift work, travel or caring for someone at night breaks up my sleep.
I move very little during the day and hardly get outside in daylight.
I eat a heavy meal or smoke close to bedtime.
Someone has told me I snore loudly, stop breathing or gasp while I sleep.
I have nodded off, or nearly nodded off, while driving or operating machinery.
